all is calm all is bright

This “Silent Night” phrase is a favorite of mine, and I love that this collection includes these and other Christmas Carol favorites.
I stamped the frame from the Good Stuff Stamp Set, and the stars and the ‘all is calm’ sentiment with the addition of the music note from the Here We Come A-Caroling Stamp Set, and embossed it with WOW! Metallic Platinum.  I am in love with this color!!! My guess is that you will see me use it often during the holiday season. *wink*
After die cutting the shape, I stamped the lamp post, the girl and the dog with Midnight Ink. Then, using some Eclipse tape, I masked a snowbank and the lamp, and I used my ink blending tools with It’s a BoySomething Borrowed, just a touch of Flirty Fuchsia and Black Jack to create the night sky. The light was colored with Tiara and Tiki Torch using a Dove blender pen. The panel is popped up on the card with foam squares.  I think it looks very sweet.

'tis the season

After looking through Pinterest, I wanted to try some unexpected color combinations for Christmas cards, so I used lighter shades of green, and peachy tones to make this poinsettia arrangement.
I have always loved white embossed on kraft cardstock, so I started with a kraft for my card base.  The flower and berries were stamped on white cardstock in Bellini Ink and I used the Dove blender pen with more ink to color the flower details. With a mask applied to the poinsettia, I added other leaves and fronds from the ‘Tis the Season Stamp Set in Garden PartyLime Rickey and a second generation stamp of Icing on the Cake Inks. The flower center is embossed in Gold EP and colored in like the lamp above in Tiara Ink. The floral was then cut and used for planning the additional leaves to be stamped to the card base.  The various leaves and berries were all inked with Versamark Ink and then embossed in either gold or white EP. Finally, the floral arrangement was adhered with foam squares.  Love this layered look!  For a final touch, the sentiment was also stamped and embossed in gold.
