My second treat – a Coffee Cup Freebie digital cut file! In fact, it’s actually more than a cut file because the zipped folder download comes with PNG, SVG, DXF and PDF files. There may be some of you who are not sure about using these digital files, but if you would still like to try them, there is a PDF “cutlines” file which is actually an outline of all of the images. Simply print the PDF on the paper of your choice and then color and cut by hand. So many options!

Simply click the aqua button to download the file.
I have also added another digital die cut file to the shop, in honor of the Spring and Summer blog hop. You can find the Coffee: Hot & Cold digital die cut set in my shop. Here is a peek of the set.

This set includes a travel style cup with the accessories for a steaming hot or ice cold frothy drink. Pair either of these die cut sets with your favorite pattern papers to make cups for all occasions. Now, I’ve got a few cards to share with you using both of these die cut sets.
Hello Friend
A bouquet of flowers on a mug sounds like Spring to me, not to mention the bright yellow rose pattern paper from Simple Stories I Am… paper pad.
In my cutting machine software, I resized the cup from the freebie to fit this layout, and added a digital stamp image from the It’s Spring set, and the Hello Friend sentiment from the Spread Your Wings set and printed then had the machine cut the cup and the message.

Before I began coloring the cup and flowers, I used a white foil in my Minc machine to keep the lines of the stamp white instead of black from the printer. I use this technique again later, and love it as an option for getting white images from my printed digital stamps.
The cup and the coffee are ink blended separately and then pieced back together. The flowers are painted with distress ink and a paintbrush with water. I used the Kirarina WiNK pen in pearl white for the daisies.
I cut the steam images in the free digital set with vellum to give them a softer look and I tucked them into the cut area of the cup and glued them in place on the back side. This is helpful since I’m always looking for a way to be discreet with adhesive on vellum.

Let’s Get Coffee
When I first planned this layout, I was going to cut the different cups from pattern papers from Pinkfresh Studio, but the Aviary stamp set was just begging to be used, and I think work perfectly for the Spring theme.
Each cup from the freebie is cut from Catherine Pooler Ultra Smooth Premium White Card Stock [shop Catherine Pooler] and inked with a blending tool and stamped with the same color ink for a tone on tone look. The white details are from the Kirarina WiNK pen I mentioned before. Each cup is tucked into the other through the slit so they look like they are sitting inside.

The card background was set up in my cutting machine software where I resized and replicated the coffee sentiment from the freebie to create a pattern, and cut the rounded rectangle with the machine. The paper was foiled with White foil from Minc and then distressed with multiple brown distress inks and sprinkled with water to get the fun texture.
The sentiment uses the same coffee word enlarged and then I used a font on my computer to type out Let’s Get and print and cut the message. It is foiled in the Rose Gold foil, also by Minc and in this light, takes on the other coffee colors. Just a few sequins to add a little more shine and this card is done.

I Love You More Than Coffee
I have all of this fabulous new paper in the house, so I wanted to do a card with all pattern papers. These are from the Pinkfresh Studio 6×6 Be You collection and a woodgrain paper from Simple Stories Sn@p Basics.

The cutting machine did nearly all of the work here. I made this curved background in the software and also cut the Hot cup items plus the coffee sentiment in the various papers. The stamp is an oldie but a goodie from A Muse Artstamps and the ellipses are little hearts. Love that! The final accents are three puffy heart stickers from Let Your Heart Decide, also from Pinkfresh Studio.

Hope Your Day is Sweet
Sometimes I just want a sweet frothy grande caramel frappucino with an affogato shot from Starbucks, so this is my ode to the cold caffeine I crave.
The cup is decorated with butterflies (Spread Your Wings digital stamps) and flowers (It’s Spring digital stamps), and foiled in white. Using my ink blending tool with a lighter touch, I gave with cup a light brown background and painted the elements with distress inks. The straw was also ink blended.

The background paper from Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide was the inspiration for the color palette and I love the soft edge in the design. Instead of introducing a red, I used the same color from the butterflies to color the cherry from the Sweetest Birthday digital stamp set.
For a little sparkle, I added watered down Wink of Stella to the whip cream. It isn’t catching the light well in these photos, but it has a lovely subtle shimmer to it. The sentiment is also from the Sweetest Birthday set and it is foiled in Teal from Minc.
