2019 Spring & Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
Hello my fellow Coffee Lovers! Thank you for hopping over to my blog for this year’s Spring & Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop. I’m so happy to be participating again this year and looking forward to seeing all of the other cards and projects along the way.
A Few Goodies
In case this is your first time here, I’ve got some coffee digital files on my freebies page that I’d love for you to try in your projects. There are also several other freebies on that page that you might enjoy.
Also, I have a coupon code for you! My shop has changed a bit since last year, but there are a few things available for spring, some new coffee files, and a script font. The coupon gives you 20% off and is good until Saturaday, May 18th. Just add the coupon at checkout to receive the discount.
I’m also giving 2 – $10 gift cards for hop participants, so I hope you have time to play!
And now – for the cards!
Drink More Coffee
Last summer, I painted an illustration of these stacked cups of latte after going to a nearby cafe and ordering this latte for my husband. How cute is this?
I made a clipart image of that painting and printed the image (very lightly) and sentiment and colored it in bright spring prisma color pencils. For the latte art, I used my Kirarina WiNK pen in Pearl White. I matted the main image on card stock inked with Catherine Pooler Aquatini. The sentiment is outlined in the same lime green pencil just to give it a little accent.
If you like this image and sentiment, they are part of a set in my shop called Drink More Coffee and it includes PNG, JPG and EPS file formats.
While I was trying to come up with phrases that go with coffee I thought of “perk up”. I think this would be a great sentiment for a friend who is going through a rough time. The set I used includes lots of fun retro coffee images, but I actually used one of my free coffee mugs for this card. I thought the flower element would look cute on it, and colored it with a 70’s vibe. The cup is a light olive green that looks a little more yellow here.
The free coffee mug is from the set called“Coffee Cup Freebie” and includes PNG, SVG, DXF & PDF files. I opened the SVG file in powerpoint so I could get an outlined image, and just cropped the other items out before printing. If you would like to see a video on how to do this, please leave me a comment below.
The flower and sentiment are from the new Perk Up set, also in my shop. Lots of fun mid-century coffee imagery and patterns here.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the hop and have a chance to participate – maybe you will be the lucky winner. Be sure to check out the Coffee Lovers Blog for the details. There are so many great prizes – Good Luck!
Enjoy the rest of the hop – I can’t wait to see what you make! And, if you make a project with any of my products or the Coffee freebie, I would love it if you tag me @juliemogford on instagram or email me a link to the photo. Can’t wait to see your Spring / Summer inspired coffee cards.
